    called Patrick. Both of the following stories are about him.
    He was an ignorant headstrong man, who had no belief in those forts. In the fort is situated St, Brigid's Well.
    The people used to be going through his land on their way the well either to go a station or for holy water.
    He had the field cropped; the one adjacent to the well. These people were knocking down the fences tramping on his crops etc.
    He decided to stop them.
    He turned round and made a drain away from the well, so that there would be no water
