    When the bailiffs came to seize cattle he resisted and fought until nearly dead. Tom Williams Higgins, Cliffoney, Jack Smith, Cliffoney, were the bailiffs.
    After a fierce fight the cattle were taken away. Pat Ned a week or so later started for London. He walked to Derry, by boat to Liverpool, and on to London. He called at Palmerston's residence there, but there was no one there but the servants. He waited for his return for 2 days. And as Palmerston had not come back then, he started for home.
