    At present boys and girls are seldom seen without shoes, even in summer, and in winter every person wears shoes.
    Some years ago there were several shoemakers in this locality bui now, on account of the boot factories and the importation of foreign shoes, there are very few. At present only one shoemaker, Mr. John Tivnan, lives in Grange. He still makes and repairs boots and shoes.
    People buy very light footwear especially for Sunday. Girls' and ladies shoes are so light that the only repairs they need are halfsoles, and sometimes these are put on in the shops where they were purchased.
