  1. It is supposed that there is an oven of gold hidden in a field at Streedagh, Grange, Co. Sligo.
    It is not known who hid thisgold, but it is supposed that the gold was hidden under a bush which is standing on a little hillock in the the field and is guarded by a snake which is lying asleep beside the oven.
    Any person who wanted to get this gold would have to proceed as follows. He should go to the place where the gold is and tie a long cord to the lid of the oven, without disturbing the snake. Then he should go up on the top of a house which is near the field and pull the lid off the oven by means
