    Farewell to that Abbey my heart's pride and joy.
    As the sun is declining, how brightly its shining.
    On the grand pleasant waters of that old River Moy.
    Shall I ever again see that grand ancient Alley.
    Where I ballplayed and rambled every day as a rule.
    Shall I ever again see that beautiful Convent.
    Where I spent happy hours when I first went to school.
    Now alas! I will never return to your bosom.
    Though my thought's and Good wishes are ever so keen.
    And the spot where my poor old aged parents are resting.
