  1. St Baithan was the patron saint of Templeboy. St Baithan was one of the delegates sent to Iona to bring Columkille back to Ireland to plead for the bards. Templeboy got its name from St Baithan.
    St Baithan's church is supposed to be at Aughris. There are no people in the district called after St Baithan.
