  1. There is an old fort in Dunbeakin and there is a big cave in it and in one side of the cave there is supposed to be a pot of gold. The old people often said that is unlucky to unearth a fort and so this old saying is true as one day a long time ago a man began to unearth the fort, but when he was about half-way, his leg was cut off and he never worked again. On Hallow Ee'n night a light goes round this fort ten times and then disappears.
