  1. My townland is Barnacocoghill and it is in the Parish of Kilmacshalgan and in the barony of Tirenagh. There are eight families in the Townland of Barnacoghill and there are thirty people. The houses are all thatched except one which is a slated house. Some of the people that are over seventy years of age are:-
Mrs. Peyton Johnston, Barnacoghill, Templeboy, Cp; Sligo
Miss Ann Duncan, Barnacoghill, Templeboy, Co; SLigo
There are not as many houses nowadays as there were long ago. Barnacoghill got its name from the gap of the Caul. The river which runs in Barnacoghill is called Templeboy river. Some of the land is good and more of it is bad.
