    But installed for ages in golden pages
    The worthy severend fame of blest Father Matt.
    The food of Angels is elevated
    We find convenient on this barren hill.
    Where this holy structure is fabricated
    And dedicated for the Lord to dwell.
    It's scupltoration and grant crestation (?)
    Illumes our Nation from shore to shore
    That gem of Nature that was roofed with cedar
    Which was brought from Eden in the days of yore.
    It's lofty front with Italian marble
    With Jasper Kerble (?) and granit stone,
    Is so erected in double order
    it's beauty dazzles the heavenly throne.
    Gothic arches are decorated
    With pious statements and works of fame.
    And those of the Lord who enumerated (?)
    Would be elated to have seen the same.
    The priest referred to is Fr. Matt Ferguson.
    I have obtained the above from H. Prior Knox, who claims to be the only man living that knows this song.
