- In this Parish there is a lake and the name of it is Lough A Doirn. This is but a small lake but on the island there is a treasure hidden. This treasure is guarded by an eel. It is supposed that the Tuatha De Danaan put it there. This treasure can not be recovered until two black horses without one white hair in them are found. If they are got they have to walk into the island and plough it with a plough. One time two black horses were got without one white hair in them, and in the morning there was a white star on one of the horses forehead.Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
