    Hardly had he time to sit down when the door opened and a stranger walked in.
    The card-players spoke to him and gave him a hand to play with.
    They started to play and while they were playing a card fell to the ground.
    When one of the men stooped to lift the card he saw the cloven hoof on the devil (for he it was).
    When the man saw this he told the rest of the men and they got up and the devil couldn't get out so he leapt into the churn.
    The men then sent for the priest and he came and prayed and told them that he could never use the churn again.
