  1. In the beginning of the 19th century a man named Costello living in Annaghkanta had a famous greyhound.He went to Corderry Hill in the Parish of Kiltubrid 2 milessouth Keoh. This land was preserved by the landlord and the bailiff Connell was cancealed in a bush. The hound went in pursuit of the hare, and she was passing Connell's place of concealment he shot the hound. The following song was composed about the incident by a local "bard".

    Give ear to those verses I'm going to explain,
    Where eer you go hunting, go where you will,
    But never go hunting to Corderry Hill.
