  1. There is a hidden treasure up in the middle of the river Shannon withing two miles of Carrick on Shannon. It is about two miles from the Quay Carrick on Shannon near Limerick.
    There is an island near the place which is called the seven acre island. There was a fort on the island and there were fairies in it. The fairies had gold and they had it in the river.
    Sometime after monks built a monastery on the island. They cut away the fort. Someone told the monks about the treasure. They used to go fishing on the surrounding waters. One day they failed to catch any fish so they started
