    1. The field of the "fort" because there are two hills in that field where the Danes were long ago and if anyone interfered with the hills foul air would come up and kill the people.
    2. If you were going across fields and walked on them hills you would go astray
    3. "Wellfort" is so called because there is a well near a very large "fort"
    4. The "field bush" is supposed to be haunted
    5. "Gortín an Asal" the (said to) field of ass.
    6. "Cloush Ganly "It is said to be haunted.
