    Herbs and Plants
    1. The "Praisce" does a lot of damage to oats so does the thistle.
    2. "Praisce" a tall yellow flower. It runs into seed very quickly. It chokes the oats and unables it to grow, and it makes it poor.
    3. In very poor land grows the dock-leaves.
    4. An Indian plant called "sun spurge" is good for warts. It grows among potatoes and cabbage.
    5. A plant called "Cruach Padhraic" is good for boils and sores. It is like the dock leaves, and it grows flat.
    6. Ivy leaves steeped in Vinegar is good for corns.
    7. "Chicken Weed" is good for sores and swellings.
    8. Haws, Nettles and Laurels, boiled in milk is good for Kidney Trouble.
    9. Watercress is good to eat.
    10. "Boglass" when boiled in oat-meal is good for sores. It is a long soft leaf and grows in fields.
