    As I lie down my right-hand side
    Oh, Blessed Lady be my guide
    for fear I sleep and not to wake
    I give my soul to God to take.
    There are four corners round my bed
    There are four Angels round my spread
    Mathew Mark St. Luke and John
    God Bless this bed which I lie on.
    And our Saviour crucified from his head to his heart, from his heart to his hand from his hand to his foot. O Blessed Lady standing by with heavy heart and mournful cry. For those who bless Good Friday and honour Good Friday and those who shall say this 3 times a night shall be free from the gates of Hell.
