- (continued from previous page)A FORTMy father is about 50 years of age and his name is Hugh Mc Morrow Corratimore Dromahair Co Leitrim. He told me that the fort is situated on the top of a hill. He told me that there is another fort in front of it about 200 yards away. The fort is of a circular shape. There is supposed to be a pot of gold under this fort. One night when a crowd of fellows were coming from a dance they went up to the fort and they started to dig for the gold. When they had dug for some time they came upon a flag. When they were about to lift the flag they heard like a child crying behind them. When they looked around they saw a lady coming towards them. They ran as fast as they were able and they never came back. There are holes in the ground and there are supposed to be people buried in it* * *
Continued from previous page....field. Lough Gill is beside the holy well. On that day boats are coming and going. It is a mile from the road with a nice lane leading into it. I never was at that holy well.
