  1. There was a woman living in Glashey and her man was working in England. Each morning, when the woman went out to fill the kettle with water beside steps in the river she would see two hands leaving five shillings in the steps. She would take the money with her. Next morning the same thing happened. When the man came home he began to ask her where all the money came from. She told him and she never got any from that on.
