    funny" said the beggar "I was told in a dream, that I would get my fortune on the door step of the second house down from the church in Lismore: This place happened to be the house of the Lismore dreamer.
    The latter went home. The first thing he did was to dig under his door-step. His home was the second one down from the Church. To his surprise he found tons of gold buried beneath the flag. I suppose it was the monks who buried it there long ago when the Banes raided the monastery of Lismore. This story was told to me by my father. Mr. Crotty.
