    People in olden times wouldn’t sweep out the floor for fear the would sweep their good luck. People wouldn’t throw out dirty water at night because they might through it on the fairies. People wouldn’t throw out water after twelve o’clock on All Souls Night for fear they would throw it on the Suffering Souls.
