Then the fox follows the goose, and when the goose or the fox gets running it can sit down beside anyone it likes and it must get up quickly so as to keep them from catching each other. We play daisy chains in Summer you sit on a bank with a crowd of other children and see who will make the loveliest chain. The way you play half-past is, you get a lot of children in along a wall and, two children stands out and one asks the children what time is it and, the other has to run after. We play cracking the nuts, seeking for the ring in the barm black, and diving for the sixpence in a tub of water on Hollow Eve night.
