    Early in the morning the young man set out to look for the bird. On his way he met a fox. The fox told him he would pass to inns on his way. He told him not to go to the beautiful inn but to the shabby one.
    The fox told him to sit on his tail. And they came to the inns as the fox had said. The young man went in to the shabby inn and stayed the night. Early in the morning they set out for the golden bird. They came to the palace. The man went in to the palace and the bird was there in a wooden cage and the golden cage was lying beside the bird. The fox told him not to take out the bird but to leave him in the wooden cage. The young man did not keep his word but took out the bird and put him in the golden cage the minute he did so the bird began to scream and the soldiers
