  1. About a hundred years ago it was the custom in lonely places for men to hide their money in the ground. There was one old man by the name of Mr. Holly who lived close to the village of Passage. He hid his money in the ground and then killed a man and buried it so that no one would search for it. This spot, which is called Holly's gap, is known to be haunted for at different times a man is supposed to be seen there. It is supposed to be the ghost of the man who was killed there. We are afraid to pass Holly's Gap at night.
