    The most famous of all the poets in the district was a man named Pádruig de Faoithe (Patrick White).

    Lonag ago two bad men lived in Curraghreigh, Tallow.

    Long ago two bad men lived in Carraghreigh, Tallow. They did a lot of damage every night. One night they went to the wood to cut a hazel tree. When they lifted the tree up to the fence to bring it home, a dead man appeared and sat on the tree so they had to cut half of it and the ghost walked up the wood with it.
