- The village in which I live is called Lecarrow. The word Lecarrow means the half quarter.
It is a very small village because there are only five dwelling houses in it.
All the houses are slated with with the exception of a few thatched ones.
The most land any farmer has is about nineteen or twenty acres.
The land is not very good in some places because marshy places are very plentiful.
The farmers usually till the land by ploughing and harrowing it, not by digging it with a spade except a few who have no farm implements. The farmers don't sow much crops just enough to provide food for themselves and(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
