Straw and rushes and hay are put under horses for bedding. Horses are tied by tying their right hind leg and their right front leg together and that is called a "side lang". Sometimes the horse's front legs are tied together and that is called a "búthín". Every horse has four shoes on his four feet. A horse shoe is hung up on the wall in some houses.
