    thaught them at home. The child went to school at any age they liked. They had not any certain time for school. They carried their books up under their caps to school and home the same way. The seats they had were flags, sods of turf, timber or anything they got. The canes were made from rods. The children were only punished at rare times. The master thaught the children who wanted to sing in the choir. They brought the turf on the ass and creels. It was brought free.
