  1. People nowadays, as in many other things, take far more care of their feet than formerly.
    Up to a generation ago, the majority of the people rarely began to wear boots regularly in rural districts until they were fully grown. Even still man of the older women prefer to go about their household duties barefoot. The boys and girls of my district often go barefoot in Summer time; or wear sandals as a protection for the soles of the
