  1. Mary Cannon, Althbawn, Bohola was the best walker in the Parish. She walked from Althbawn to the Blessed well in Kilgeaver and home again in a day. She carried he flax wheel with her to Castlebar and left it there mending. When she was coming home it was mended and she brought it home with her again. She lived about a hundred years ago.
    Micheal McNicholas, Carrainteane, Kiltimagh was the best swimmer in the Parish. He died about four years ago.
