  1. There is a fort down in Ballywinagher in Patrick Byrnes field about two miles from Kiltimagh. It is situated on the side of a hillock. It is about sixteen feet in diameter and is about three fee in height.
There is an entrance on the east side of it and it is surrounded by a circle of black thorn bushes. There are two stones standing straight up and one going across at the entrance. This fort is covered over with grass. There is an other smaller fort about five yards away from it. There is a haw-thorn bush growing in the middle. Anybody does not go near the fort for the old people say that if they touch or cat the bushes something thing will happen to them.
