    Buachaill an tighe a herb that grows on the gable of houses. When a child is supposed to be taken by the fairies if it is boiled in milk and given to the child it will strengthen the child and the fairies will stop taking her.
    Nine thorns will cure stys in a persons eye if they are pointed at the sty and then thrown over the persons shoulder.
