  1. Holy wells.
There is a holy well in Gurteen, called "Tobar locha laoigh"
This well was blessed by Saint Patrick. Long ago, this well was blessed by Saint Patrick. Long ago the people used to go there every year and they used to make the station.
One day a woman and her son were passing by the side of the well. The little boy had no fingers in one hand. He noticed a little fish in the well. He put his hand into the well to catch the fish. When he drew it out all his fingers were restored to him. There is a holy well near Shrule called "Tobar Cíaráin."
