    dried it is footed. Five or six sods are put together and two more are left on top and then one is put on the two. When the footing is fairly dry they are refooted. Every two or three footings are made into the refooting. Sometimes people make dubhcháns out of the refootings. When the turf is dry a boy turns it out on the bog road. If the way is soft he has to bring it out with an ass and cleeves. A straddle is put on the asses back and on top of the straddle the sgurrógs are put. The
