  1. The Borrowed Days
Long long ago there was an old (an) old cow that was very lean and thin. She used to get sick very often and this Winter she got very sick. January and February passed on and all the people thought she would die. On went March and she lingered on so she did not die. March had to borrow three days from april and these three days killed the old cow. These days are called Riabhach days, or the three borrowed days, or Laetha na bó Riabhaiche.
