Patrick Masterson (40) " " - There is a village near here called Skiddernagh or Sgiorr-an-Eich. There is a story told about this village and this is the story. In olden times there was only a path running down the side of the hill in Skiddernagh. When going down this hill horses used to slip and fall. Sgiorr-an-Eich means the " slip of the steed ". There is a village called Baile Phaidrín. St. Patrick visited this village and taught the people how to say the rosary. There is a big hill near Manulla called(continues on next page)
