It is said that the "Fianna" sowed the tree. The roots of the tree are still to be seen. It is also believe that the "Fianns" sat on the stone. The stone is called "Cloc na Fianns." They passed through a field in Ballygreen the same day also and it is said that they slept in the field. The field is called "Coladh Na Fianns."
