- Long ago there were a man and his wife living in Kilbane. They used to go out singing songs in the day and playing on harps for a while in the night. They lived in a small house about a mile from Kilbane. The ruins of the house are still to be seen. The field is called "Oidhhe agus la Ceól." Their names were Bill and Sis Toohey. The two of them died the same night and the harps were never found until a few years after they died. One day when a man was ploughing the field he found the two harps.
