- Once upon a time there was a protestant man living near Ballyjamesduff. There was a boy hired with him. Some one asked the boy how did he like his place and he told him it was a good enough place only he used to be very tired in the morning. He said that they were doing something on him. A friend of his said that he would stop with him at night and see what was happening to him. About twelve o’clock the old woman of the house came up and said some words over the servant boy. She turned him into a horse. She went away riding the horse taking milk from cows. The next night the friend came to stop with him again. The friend who was staying with him got to know(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
