- Matches were played on Thomas’s hill between Kilinkere and Knockbride. Knockbride and Kilinkere were the two teams that played. There were 23 players on each side. The best men were picked out of the parish. Sometimes parishes or townlands played. The two teams nearly always drew. The score was 11 goals to 11 goals.
