  1. Long ago the people had to work very hard to make a churn. The name of the churns were dash churns. The cream had to be left to set as there were no separators at that time. Then the cream was put into the churn and was churned. It was very laborious work, working the dash up and down. The way of the churning is much easier now, people have only to turn a handle and gradually the butter is made. They say the butter milk is very good to drink.
