  1. There were many candlemakers in Ennistymon about sixty years ago. The candles were made from goats' and sheeps' tallow.
    The country people were great for making baskets some made three baskets a day. They used make them with twigs and rushes.
    The best of the dyers was Connor Hogan of Church Street Ennistymon; he used make a great big[?] trade in a day. The people used make shirts out of Bog-deal which were called "Bog-deal shirts"
