    My own District.
I live in Lahinch in the parish of Kilmanakeen in the barony of Corcumroe. There are about ninety four houses in Lahinch.
This is how it got the name Lahinch .A chieftain ,whose name was O Connor ,was living on Liscannor ,and he was running from an enemy and he came over to Lahinch ,where he was killed .Ever since, that time he was killed the name Lahinch (Leacht Ui Chonchubhair or the Flag of O 'Connor was given to the place.
There are about four old people living in Lahinch.
