  1. Long ago people used wear no shoes, no matter what they had to do.
    When children were about five years, they wore no shoes for the rest of their lives.
    People believed that if the water which was used for washing the feet was kept over-night, that the fairies would come.
    In Ennistymon children go bare footed in Summer, but it was too cold in winter.
