- This story was told to me by Charles McGuinness. His age is 60 years. He lives in Drumaweir. One time a sailor named Doherty from Shrove was away on a voyage. A great storm arose and the ship was reported lost. His family were holding a wake for him. At twelve oclock when they were saying the Rosary beautiful music began to be played and many voices sang "John will be home on Monday". That was supposed to be the fairies. The next day they got a telegram saying that he had been saved and would be home on Monday.
