  1. In my district there is not many forges. The names of the ones I was told are, Mr. Peter Carrey, Mr. John Lyons and Mr. E O'Neill. These forges are situated near the river Boyne except Mr Carrey's. Mr. Carrey's one is situated in Tullyallen. It is an old shed. He is about thirty years at the job. The implements he uses is a hammer, file, anvil and sledge. He shoes horses, and asses and he also makes ploughs.
    Mr Lyons forges is an old shed also. He also does the same work except he does not make ploughs or harrows. He is
