    On the 23rd of September 1921
    the Volunteers of Ennistymon killed 24 black -and -Tans then the other black-and -tans came into Ennistymon to burn the houses.They burned Devitt's Claire's Whelan's and the Town Hall.They killed Tom Connole and burned his house and threw his dead body into the flames.They went to Lahinch and burned five houses there.They shot anybody that had anything to do with the killing of the 24 Black-and-Tans..
