  1. Long ago the Irish people had all Irish names in their fields. Some of them are in the country always.
    Páirch na Chillbheagh:- The field of the little church. It was called that name because there was a church there once.
    Gárraín geara:- the garden of the gate.
    Páirch na currain:- The field of the ferns. It is so called because ferns grow there very thick. Páirch na lachta:- The field of the heap of flags.
    gbeann na [?] :- The valley of the quarries
    Bá sliabh:- The white mountain
    Fhaill-mhór:- The big cliff.
    Fhaill aitheann:- cliff of the furze.
