  1. Long ago the people were very superstitious. They believed it was unlucky to get married in the month of June, or on the seventh day after Christmas day, or on that day throughout the year. When a pair were to be married the people believed that it was lucky to throw an old shoe after them at that time the people used get married in their own homes A man named John Honan was married in his own house to Mary Chambers, and John Anglim was married in his own house to Mary Mc Dermot. There are about a hundred years since. There
