  1. Long ago the people had games and pastimes just as the people nowadays have.The games the people long ago had were hurling and football, bowling, and throwing a heavy weight.
    The footballs they used long ago were bladders of pigs or cows, and covered over with leather.
    There was a football match in the townland of Leitrim, in Crowleys field between Leitrim and Clonreddan, Leitrm won it. At that time there used be twenty-one at each side, and no refree.
