    Lord Ashton was the landlord of above district. He lived in the district. He was looked upon as good. There were two evictions. They went to America. The landlord had no spell power over the people. He did not punish them for small offences. Tithes were collected in former days by the people for the landlord. They were collected in money. There are no stories in connection with them as they seemed to be paid (?).
